In 2015 whilst sitting in my kitchen recovering from a hysterectomy I felt the need to discuss this exclusively female experience with other women. I needed a safe space to be able to discuss my experience outside of my usual circle of family and friends. I decided to create a women only Facebook group – Women for Women. Today the group has over 30,000 members. It is a closed group meaning members need to be pre approved by admin before joining. We discuss important issues like finances, infertility, domestic violence amongst many others. Of course we also discuss whether women should be given a choice over when, where, how and with who to have their children.
Many of the issues discussed deserve a wider audience. This website will be dedicated to those personal stories and experiences. We are sure they will move you and inspire you. We hope these stories will motivate you to join us as a force for change against injustices towards women, our families and society at large.
